Beautiful Sony ES STR-DA555ES Receiver. This is a very nice, full featured receiver that bridges a nice gap between modern digital features and vintage analog. Released in 1999, this one still has a very nice quality phono stage and sounds VERY good as a standard analog stereo receiver. Power output is 120W RMS (at 8ohms) per channel and in general it has loads of headroom and performs very well. Build quality is very high quality across the board and it has a very nice feel. There is no remote included. The original was a silly full LCD screen remote that was terrible even when new and eventually just became so dim that it couldnt be used. I have used it with a harmony universal remote and the Harmony database had all the appropriate codes and it worked flawlessly. This is a great receiver and on the upside, all features can be controlled from the front panel which is not true of all the receivers of this era.
