Das Gerät spielt sowohl DVDs ab, als auch VHS Videokassetten (letzte können auch aufgenommen werden). Außerdem können CDs abgespielt werden, das Tonsignal kann dann über die beiden hinten liegenden Cinch-Buchsen (rot und weiß, mit dem beiliegenden Kabel) abgegriffen und beispielsweise einem Verstärker zugeführt werden. Vor allem zum Abspielen von CDs und zur Aufnahme und Wiedergabe von VHS-Kassetten (über SCART) wurde das Gerät von uns bis vor ca. 4 Jahren oft genutzt. Seitdem steht es ungenutzt in der Ecke, weil wir Musik nur noch streamen. Die Fernbedienung (ohne die benötigten beiden AA-Batterien) und das Cinch-Kabel liegen bei.
