The item was tested and confirmed working for all available basic functions for DVD playing; play, stop, pause, eject, and power. Recording to a disc was tested and works well. The line in 2 and line in 1 composite inputs work well. I only verified the line in inputs using a digital converter box connected with composite cables; no other devices were tested on the inputs. The line out composite output works well. The HDMI output briefly flashes when connected to a TV and then goes to a gray screen.
