Clearing my parents house. This has been sat under the telly for at least 3 years, not working. It would appear that the hard drive is dead. (I connected a replacement hhard drive, and straight away, up popped the menu that the disc needs formating, but this requires a service Remote and I dont have one, but they are readily available. Complete with two remotes - both have gunky buttons, but a liberal application of meths around the sticky ones, so it seeps under the buttons has always worked on other remotes, for me!) One was gunked up, so my step father simply bought another. I cannot test either fully, as I cant get the machine to fully boot, but one does work on my telly. Original manual and 240v mains cable included. Treat as spares/repairs. Other than the HDD issue, there is a small shim of plastic broken of the SATA power connector, but the power connection is quite solid still. Nice little project for a Sony HDR enthusiast! In fact theres another of these, here on eBay WITHOUT remotes, a broken DVD drive, BUT a good working HDD. Buy them both and combine to fine machine! Look for item 115776623656
