Here is the Sony PCM 501 ES digital audio processor for your consideration. This is from the early days of digital audio recording .This device, which, in conjunction with any standard VCR ,will allow you to record stereo audio in digital form with true cd quality. The result is a recording with the accuracy of a DAT deck, but made on a standard VHS or Beta or 8 mm cassette . This unit converts analog stereo audio signals to 14 or 16 bit PCM digital audio at 44.1 kHz, then formatted the resulting digital bitstream as composite video signals, which could be recorded on beta or VHS or 8 mm tape. Upon videotape playback the reverse happens ,the video tape is played and is converted back to analog audio. A really great device. If you like to do the old-school type recording, you’ll enjoy very much. The unit has been checked out everything functions correctly .The manual and audio video cables are included. When plugged in, it powers on but I can’t get sound when I line in audio. It is for parts or repairs. Please check the pics, you get exactly what you see. It weighs a ton! Thank you

Funktioniert tadellos, guter Zustand. Nur der Akku ist hinber. Lsst sich aber z.B. auch gut mit einer power bank betreiben. und ein passender Ersatzakkunkostet ca. 40 Das Zubehr, OVP (etwas zerdrckt), Kabel, die Original Kopfhrer( neu), AC Adapter, Software CD etc. sind auch vorhanden. The player/recorder works perfectly. Havent used it since over 10 years and I am only selling because I would like to buy a camera. There are only some minor scratches o the surface and the OLEDs both work. Sadly the original battery does not really work anymore I think, the display shows it as charging... so may be it can be fixed?! Otherwise there are replacement batteries around for around 40. I used the player with the ac adapter and also a small usb powerbank on the go to test if it works. It does! the original headphones and some optical cables are unused and still in original packaging as they have never been used. the box is a bit damaged but still okay. I
