DescriptionAll-silicon transistor stereo pre-main amplifier A pre-main amplifier with a direct-coupling power amplifier section. The power amplifier section uses a direct coupling method, in which all stages are directly coupled and no coupling capacitors are used. This allows more power at low frequencies than conventional output circuits that use capacitors, and prevents the damping factor from dropping. Since this direct coupling method amplifies even direct current in principle, it cuts off the ultra-low frequency range below the musical component, thus protecting the speakers. The preamplifier section includes input circuits such as two phono inputs and three auxiliary inputs, independent left and right tone controls, low/high filters, and a slide-type balance control. In addition, a large dynamic range is obtained by using a 50V high voltage power supply for the preamplifier section to increase the allowable level of each input. A quick access switch is provided so that phono 1 and tuner can be quickly switched with this lever. This eliminates the need to switch the rotary switch repeatedly, thus reducing inadvertent noises. A switch on the rear panel allows the preamplifier and power amplifier to be used independently. A speaker switching switch is provided to switch between two sets of speakers. The tone control is NF type with 2dB steps. A tape monitor/source switch is provided. A loudness switch is provided.
