This has been tested sounds great crisp and clear both channels play even and steady, FF, REW, stops. Sony Walkman - WM F18/F28 Feature rich heavy-duty member of Sonys Walkman family.Features an AM/FM radio, and a 3-band Graphic Equaliser as well as- handling metal and normal tapes- Dolby- Auto and Manual Reverse - FF/REW Im pretty sure this was working when I finally put it away, maybe 20 years ago, but its completely dead now.There was some evidence of leakage in the battery compartment, but the contacts look clean. The +ve terminals are quite recessed, so I wasnt sure they were making contact with the AA batteries I tried this with. Or for all I know, 1.2v rechargeable AAA batteries dont have enough oomph to power it. People talk about changing the belt, but I wouldnt know where to begin. Will be sent by Royal Mail.

The radio works great. Not sure about the cassette part, because I dont have a cassette to test it. There is no battery cover, so the batteries just fall out.
