I purchased this unit online in near mint condition from Facebook marketplace for almost $300. Unfortunately it was damaged in shipping, the front corner took an impact, and the door/mechanism were damaged. When plugged in, it does turn on, but seems to be trying to actuate the door. Remote is in fantastic shape with very little wear. The glass “dimmer” for the screen fell off as well, but is included and was simply glued on from the factory. Sold as is, for parts

SONY DVP-CX777ES Disc Explorer 400 CD/DVD Player/Changer No Remote. Unit was tested with CDs and DVDs. All buttons work, mechanically seems to have no problems, will spin through the carousel smoothly, and recognize every slot where a disc has been inserted. However, it will play CDs, but give a Cannot Read error for DVDs. We tried replacing the laser, and the problem still persists, which rules out that costly option.
