SONY DVP-CX777ES Disc Explorer 400 CD/DVD Player/Changer No Remote. Unit was tested with CDs and DVDs. All buttons work, mechanically seems to have no problems, will spin through the carousel smoothly, and recognize every slot where a disc has been inserted. However, it will give a Cannot Read error for both CDs and DVDs. We tried swapping out the laser for a brand new one, and the problem persists, which rules out this costly option.
