Up for auction is a nice Sony DVP-S7700 DVD/CD player. Tested (component video, headphone, analog and digital audio outputs) and works well. The included like-new Sony RMT-D141A remote is not original to this player but controls basic transport functions well. Cosmetic condition is very good with just some superficial scratches on the top cover. Solidly built, heavy player- they literally dont make them like this anymore. Offered AS IS. Sony DVP-S7700 Multiregion DVD Player (USA). Sony DVP-S7700 from 1999. Shipped from USA to UK and modded by Techtronics to be multi-region.The bad news – after many years in my loft, firing up the S7700, I can’t get the player to recognise DVDs. This is maybe because I can’t follow Techtronics instructions on how to put the player into Region 2 mode. Or maybe the mod chip has worked lose? I dont have the time or inclination to investigate to be honest.So, I’m selling this a CD player or CD transport as I can’t get the player to recognise DVDs (I keep getting “Can not play disc” message).Please note this unit runs on 110 volts and you will need a transformer, I am NOT including one in the sale.Loved this player when I used it years ago – was super sexy and much preferred it in black, as opposed to the official UK model which came in champagne gold – yuk!Happy bidding!
