The rewind function works, but it seemed slower than normal to me. When the Open/Close button is pressed, the tape door opens, but it closes by itself shortly after. Included in this listing: Sony DTC-690, Remote, Manual & Recorded DAT tape The unit is in excellent working condition. I tested the unit to the best of my abilities. I was not able to test the record function as I only had the master recorded tape. The rewind, fast forward, and skip functions work as expected. The remote functions as intended also. The unit has no notable signs of wear. The sticker on the top has a corner slightly peeled up. The remote has no real signs of wear either. The unit puts out an incredible sound that I have not really heard before. This is my first encounter with a DAT machine. Feel free to contact me if you have issues, and I offer free returns.
