Offered here is this RARE vintage Sony Walkman Boodo Khan cassette player. Selling As-is for parts or repair. It powers up and plays sometimes but just makes a winding noise other times. Good cosmetic condition with a few small blemishes here and there. Has a spot of corrosion in the side of the battery compartment (see last pic). Measures 4.25 x 3-1/8 x 1-1/8 and weighs 8.4 ozs. Another one of my amazing auctions. I love selling rare, mint or unique items, especially when its all three! If you’re looking at this then you know what this is. The wait is over…. Finally a Boodo Khan that is complete with correct original headphones. The Sony DD-100 together with correct original headphones the DR-S100. very hard to find either one of these, let alone the two together. Plus they are normally always wrecked or broken. The headphones in particular often don't work and all the foam pads are usually worn back to the frame. This headset is in immaculate condition and while the pads are showing signs of ware from being almost 40 years old, it is still mostly all intact. the cable and rubber is nice and supple with no breaks or kinks. The Walkman unit itself is super clean with very minimal surface ware on some edges. Still has the original  battery cover too. I am an original owner and when I put in batteries My jaw dropped when it still powered up after so many decades.  Incredibly it also plays with nice sound through the headset. The sound is a little slow as there is a slight clicking sound in the movement, but still amazing that it plays at all. Obviously this should be serviced but the most important thing is that there is power!!!! everything else can be fixed. As a bonus I am also including the original Factory single sheet brochure in immaculate condition. The photos do form a part of the description so please view carefully. I have taken some footage to show power and movement but as with all vintage gear of this age it has no guarantees and must be considers as-is when sold. Sony Walkman WM DD-100 Boodo Khan with DR-S100 Headphones. Working but it has the common split gear defect witch I never got around to fix.As far as I know, this Walkman was never opened for service. Other than that clicking, to my ear is sounds great. If youre located in London youre welcome to test it before purchase. The original headphones that come with it had the leather cushions and headband replaced .
