Unit is clean, comes with original box & manual, powers on, but I dont know how to test it. The tape deck opens smoothly. Nice DAT player/recorder, has signs of wear on corners but tested to work as follows: moves tape when pushing play,, stops, ff, rewind all work, open and closes fine. Dont know much about it so all i have to test is a blank tape so i dont know if it will make audio because nothing is on tape, cant test skip functions, seems to want to play more when you push play while the tape door is open, might be because tape is blank but at least tape reels spin properly, should be fine but is being sold as is.
