Sony ST-5000F FM Stereo Tuner, With Wooden Case, Late 60s Classic, Sony ES Range This is Sonys first hi-fi tuner, part of the original ES range, the highest build-quality separate system that the company released. Dating to the late 60s this unit is in working condition with a strong clear signal when attached to an aerial. Cosmetically its in great shape with the sought after optional wooden outer-case, and original cable. The internal light behind the tuner display is operating though fairly dimly. There is a little light general wear and some marks - see pics. This is a 220V model with original power cable for connecting into back of a matching Sony amplifier; this can be replaced or used with a shaving plug adapter (not included). These typically sell for £300 to £500 on eBay, more for the wooden cased versions, and are mostly offered from Japan.
