Der Plattenspieler besitzt einen massiven DC Servo-Linear-Motor mit Regelung über eine Magnetkopftechnik. Resonanzarme Guß-Zarge aus Spezialwerkstoff SBMC - ein Metall-Glasfaser-Mix mit Polyester-Binder. Beleuchtetes Stroboskop mit Geschwindigkeitsfeinregulierung, getrennt für 33 und 45 Umdrehungen, Sensortasten-Bedienung, höhenverstellbare Isolator-Füße. Wiederholfunktion, vollautomatischer oder halbautomatischer Betrieb - auch bei geschlossener Haube - möglich. Solider S-Tonarm mit einer effektiven Länge von 216,5 mm. Wechselbares Leichtmetall-Headshell nach SME-Bauart, manueller Lift, Lateralbalance-Gewicht und Antiskating-Einrichtung. Montiert ist ein Audio Technica AT-12XE MM-Tonabnehmer mit gebrauchter Originalnadel. Technische Daten: Plattentellerdurchmesser 314 mm, Gleichlaufschwankungen < 0,045 % (DIN). Geräuschspannungsabstand 70 dB, effektive Tonarmlänge 21,5 mm bei 16,5 mm Überhang, Abmessungen 44,5 x 15,5 x 37,5 cm (BxHxT), Gewicht 10,3 kg. Anschluß über Cinchstecker und Massekabel. Der Sony funktioniert, Automatik und Tonarmrückführung sind ok, läuft generell zuverlässig und klingt prima. Das Gerät ist nicht überholt oder gewartet. Der optische Zustand ist noch akzeptabel: es finden sich deutliche Lackmängel links vom Bedienpanel und auf der linken Seite im Bereich der Geschwindigkeitsumschaltung. Kratzer links an der Zarge und auf der Haube. Der hintere linke Fuß ist verlorengegangen, als Ersatz dient ein am Gewinde modifizierter Fuß vom Technics SL-1210. Das originale Anschlusskabel war stark beschädigt und wurde von mir durch ein kapazitätsarmes Sommer Tricone MK II Kabel ersetzt (85 pF pro Meter). Die Laufzeit der Nadel ist unbekannt, sollte gelegentlich getauscht werden. Ausdruck der Anleitung liegt bei. Weitere geprüfte und überholte Geräte in parallelen Angeboten.
