That baritone sax of Bluiett was hitting me right square in the gut. Even with the added kick, the speakers held up (negligible clipping) during full volume throttle (who listens like this anyway in a small room, unless of course you still live in your parent’s attic with your beer-drinking, guitar-crunching buds! Oh-oh, flashback!) I’m really flyin’ high with my Sonus Fabers! I am a champion of floor standing units generally still dont understand whats going on with these. Add in that hand made bit and Yeah, look at the reviews online, they all say roughly the same thing. I cant rate these highly enough. They made me rethink what was possible from a bookshelf after trying Missions and so on over the years. Please see the pictures for a description of their condition. That is a SOLID walnut piece - veneer? PAH! Note: These are the bi-wireable version so make sure you are comparing correctly, I remade the links using some QED silver cable and gold plated spade connectors Speaker 2 (left or right??) Has suffered from a common (according to the internet) problem; the stress caused by fastening the speaker posts against the leather has caused the plastic to crack. While repaired, its noticeable - if you spend time looking at the back of the speaker.
