However, in this day and age when your house is full of smart gadgets, the Wi-Fi can quickly become overloaded, causing noticeable lag and, in the case of audio gear such as smart speakers, a distinct reduction in audio quality - and if you take your music seriously, thats simply unacceptable. With a Sonos system built around the Bridge, this is no longer a problem: simply connect the Bridge to an Ethernet port on your router (cable required, not supplied) and itll almost instantly create a dedicated mesh network between your Sonos speakers throughout the home - and since the network is then used only by the Bridge and speakers, performance will remain optimal even if the kids have got all their mates over for a mass Nintendo session. It even boosts the signal, so if you live in a big house or one with thick walls speakers that previously struggled will work far better. This Bridge is still in its original packaging complete with software disc, manual and UK-type mains adapter. The box has been opened, but the contents are unused - the Bridge itself remains factory sealed in plastic. As such, all the parts are in excellent condition without marks, scratches or other defects. The mains adapter has been PAT tested and certified safe to use.
