One fine sounding Type K II Snell speaker. I bought this as a single with a driver that needed to be refoamed. I refoamed it as you can see and it sounds great. The previous owner used it as a center channel. I measured it with REW and both the midrange and tweeter measured well. You might notice that I sanded the top surface with 400 grit and the veneer is in great shape. That surface had blemishes like the other sides so I think that you could sand it all down and refinish or just tung oil it and call it a day. Please note that there are screw holes on one long face (side). There also is no grille. One screw hole stripped out so I installed a 10-24 brass wood threaded anchor and then used a 10-24 Allen screw. I m sure you could find a black 10-24.

The E.5 MK2 is a quasi three way design that uses two 6.5 drivers (one as mid/upper bass driver, one as a woofer). Original woofer from Snell Type K III. Refoamed with Simply Speakers Euro foam (closest to original foam). Tested and working. 4 ohms. Snell used spec-built drivers from both Vifa and Peerless.
