SME 3009 series iii Tonearm. Comes with cables but no cartridge. Selling on behalf of my elderly neighbour who was a classical enthusiast and bought this new so is a one owner example. This came off a working Thorens table which has now been sold. Its in fantastic condition and will be well packaged or can be picked up from Kingston upon Thames KT1. I will be listing an early version 3009 unimproved along with some quad amps and various head shells, cartridges classical records and a Garrard 401 that also belonged to my neighbour. Thorens TD 125 mk 11 Turntable with SME 3009 Series 11 Non Improved arm. The combination of this legendary Thorens turntable and this iconic SME arm is universally accepted as the perfect match. In addition the arm has a detachable head shell with a Shure V15 Type 11 cartridge. The turntable is in near perfect cosmetic condition with a wonderfully clear Perspex cover. There is a very tiny dent to the veneer at the front left corner which could easily be repaired. Please see photo. There is a barely audible tick as the platter rotates and the turntable would benefit from a service. Otherwise it is in perfect working order. This beautifully engineered piece of vintage stereo equipment was the property of my late stepfather and has been lovingly cared for. I would not trust any Carrier with it, so collection only. I live in Medway and could possibly deliver to a purchaser within an hour’s drive of me. Happy bidding!
