Zum Verkauf steht ein HighEnd DAC des kanadischen Herstellers Simaudio. Der Moon 100 D ist mit einem BurrBrown PCM1793 aufgebaut. Eingangsseitig steht ein USB-Anschluss, ein S/PDIF Anschluß und ein optischer Toslink Anschluß zur Verfügung. Der analoge Ausgang ist mit RCA-Buchsen (Cinch) ausgeführt. Das Gerät verfügt über ein hochwertiges und stabiles Vollmetallgehäuse. Insbesondere ist dieser DAC interessant für Leute, die Musik beispielsweise über den PC hören. Die D/A Wandler in normalen Soundkarten oder noch schlimmer Onboard-Lösungen sind in der Regel das billigste, was Fernost hergibt. Mit HiFi hat dies nichts zu tun. Der Moon 100 D kann einfach über USB angeschlossen werden. Simaudio hat hier großen Wert darauf gelegt das meist stark Jitter belegte USB Signal jitterfrei zu bekommen. Aber selbstverständlich kann man auch die Wiedergabeaualität einfacherer CD-Spieler zum Beispiel mit dem Moon erhöhen. Ein anderer Anwendungsfall sind DIY Lösungen z.B. mit dem Raspberry. Hier kann man durch die Benutzung des Moon 100 D auch ein ganz wesentliche Klang Verbesserung erzielen. Ich selbst hatte ihn eine ganze Weile in so einem EInsatz, höre aber wieder fast ausschließlich analog und insofern steht der Moon bei mir schon eine Weile im Schrank und wird nun verkauft. Das Gerät wird gut verpackt im Originalkarton (natürlich noch gut gepolstert in einem Umkarton) zusammen mit der Kurzbeschreibung und dem Original Netzteil verschickt. Der Kaufpreis des Moon 100 D, der meines Wissens so nicht mehr erhältlich ist, lag bei um die 500€. Alle technischen Daten siehe letztes Bild. Der Zustand ist neuwertig. Keine Macken, keine Kratzer.

This unit has a blown fuse. I used this in my main system for a few years, and it worked and sounded great. I unhooked it for a month as I made some system changes. When I put it back in, the unit would not power on. I took it to a professional tech. He said the fuse was blown, but when he put in a new one, it blew immediately. At this point I decided not to have it repaired, as I used it very little. The tech said it could possibly be a very minor repair, but maybe more complicated.
