Shure VSTV was a late model, re-packaged V15VMR which had tighter tolerances with more closely match channels with regards to dcr. The original stylus isnt present here, however this comes with a Jico SAS/B stylus installed. This is a microridge stylus (just like the original shure) on a boron rod cantilever. The stylus has low hours and pics taken with a shure sek-2 are included. SHURE V15 TYPEIII white letters + JICO compatible needle + Aluminum headshell is FR-S/2 made by Fidelity-Research. This head shell has a large finger rest and is easy to use. I like the fidelity-research that is hammered into the finger rest, and I owned several of them. I forgot the type of lead wires, but I installed good sounding ones. The cartridge is a white letter type of the early-mid type, with a JICO compatible needle. I think the appearance is clean with few stains for its age. I forgot the model number of the JICO needle, but I think the needle tip is in good condition. I checked the sound with 1g needle pressure and both left and right side sound beautiful without any distortion. I have a VN35MRB of the Basie model and I feel that the sound is a little better. The overhang adjustment is set at about 2.0 in. from the tone arm mounting point to the needle tip. Please check the installation manual and adjust the screw holes before use.
