Sharp GF9090E 1970S BoomboxTape player has been fully refurbished,including new belts,capstan pinch roller,rubber flywheel take -up idler tyre and new capacitors,plus an intergrated circuit sound chip.Tape heads have been demagnetized.Also a new motor which has speed adjustment control. I replaced the belts and capstan pinch roller myself, as well as replacing the rubber flywheel take - up idler tyre which had turned into a black goo.This is the main reason why these cassette players end up chewing up cassette tapes.What happens is over time the rubber flywheel take - up idler disintegrates and the cassette idler wheel cannot turn,hence tapes get ruined. May i add that this was a very time consuming job!All the electronic repairs were carried out by a qualified hifi specialist.Radio works fine as does the light.APSS system (Automatic Programme Search System) finds next track on cassette in forward or reverse mode.The sound is superb considering its 44 years old,although it could be older than that.Included as well is an MP3 Cassette data player .With an unused data card.Battery compartment is clean with no signs of there ever being any leakage from batteries.Ive got batteries for this cassette,so ill include them as well.Cassette takes 8 D sized batteries.Theres been many hours of work to bring this back to Excellent condition.These were produced from 1976 till 1979.Ill include an MP3 Data SD Cards for these titles.The Beatles Vinyl Mono Box setDavid Bowie A New Career In A New Town Box Set.Pink Floyd,Dark Side Of The Moon,Bill Nelson,Sound On Sound,Golden Earring.Moontan.Collection Only From Hemel Hempstead,as id like to demonstrate it working,plus i dont want it to get damaged in the post. Also the muting button also stays down and have to manually lift the button back up and no sound from the left speaker. sharp gf 9090x stereo radio tape recorder. This is the more desirable x version. Listed for parts not working due to when testing the cassette section only one side of the tape turned so subsequently chewed the tape.also all the control switches were noisy with static when operated. The two aerials are broken so will need replacment. The mains connection point has a small piece of the casing broken off(please see pic)and can be heard rattling around inside.this how ever doesnt effect operation and still works on mains. Cosmetically has various marks and would benefit from a jolly good clean. Having said that its in pretty good shape for its age. Please bare all of the above in mind before bidding. Sharp The Searcher GF-909 SHARP SEARCHER-W It is a maintenance product. Switches and knobs were clean with no green rust Even more beautiful and carefully polished one by one. I washed the front and back of the body parts. The top plate and left and right panels have few scratches and can be left as they are. It was beautiful enough, but to the point where the paint was damaged I removed the dirt and touched up the fine scratches. I polished the speaker ring with compound. Speakers that are slightly discolored by UV light Carbon black paint finish for improved sound quality. Speaker net clear coat paint finish. Both radio antennas have been polished. The panel on the back is not yellowed by ultraviolet rays, The sound quality was surprisingly clear, probably because it was not used much because it was surprisingly gray. We have made improvements to further improve the sound quality. Volumes are disassembled and washed, and switches are washed multiple times. Solder cracking, peeling check, repair. board replacement The cassette mechanism is disassembled and maintained, the belt is replaced, Pinch roller replacement, idler adjustment. Playback speed adjustment, degaussed by demagnetizer. Fast-forward and rewind on deck 1 and deck 2, queue, review Normal tape playback, metal tape playback each auto stop Automatic recording on deck 2.
