Vintage 1970s Sharp GF-1704 Portable Radio Cassette Recorder Player. FAULTY so sold as seen with no returns or refunds. The Cassette works fine but i cant get the radio to tune in. This item is straight from a clearence so will need a good clean to remove dust in the hard to reach places. A great project.

The radio struggles on FM, MW and LW to get a signal. The tape mechanism plays back cassettes and is able to rewind and fast forward. I have looked it up on google and can see its quite a rare model with a release date of around 1979.

The recorder is operational and in fair optical condition. But there are many lighter superficial signs of wear and some rust on the metal parts.

Cosmetically: very nice condition it is over 30 years old but has obviously been stored in a dry place. Functionality: The radio works on FM and MW. The tape mechanism plays back cassettes and auto stop is working, rewind and fast forward work. A nice working well looked after machine, I’ll pack it well and send promptly. Extra info: detachable speakers slot on and slide off when the carry handle is in the low position they do not come off when the handle is in the raised position.
