Tested. EQd Audio working on both channels. Has a hum. Right channel lights NOT WORKING on sliders. Has a broken Slider (attached w tape on side of face) Sold as is. Does need some repairs. But does mostly work. Sold as is. Please assume that it likely should be serviced since its been in storage for many years!! Up for sale is a 1980 Pioneer 2 channel, stereo, 12 element graphic equalizer with tape monitor. It divides the audio frequency spectrum into 12 segments from 16Hz to 32 kHz, with each segment corresponding to an octave. Individual controls for each segment provide continuous adjustment (from -10dB to +10dB) and allow the sound to be contoured in order to compensate for equipment and speaker characteristics, listening room acoustics or personal preferences. Vintage Pioneer SG-9800 Graphic Equalizer *Read*. 3 corners are damaged. The item powers on with no signs of any major wear or damaging. The item could not be fully tested due to lack of stereo equipment. While testing it, I found that 3 of the slider knobs had been previously broken off, and the Tape Monitor button will not stay in the On position. Also, after connecting it to my Pioneer SX780 Receiver, I found that it doesn t function as an equalizer, i.e., the tone of music doesn t change when adjusting the sliders. (The 3 broken slider knobs fall off when I try adjusting the sliders) Theres some minor rusting to the top exterior as well (pictured). The item measures 13x16x6. No manual or extra accessories.
