Here we have a nice example of the vintage iconic 1980s Sanyo blue Stereo Cassette Player, model number #MGP9. This had been working prior to storage, a very light battery leak has presumably caused it to stop functioning, the contacts will probably clean up and it will live again, but being sold as spares or repairs. In great overall condition with only a few very small cosmetic imperfections. Has its battery cover and the battery removal ribbon is intact. No box/packaging. I can combine postage for multiple domestic purchases, please await an invoice at the end of the auction. Please study the photos carefully as they provide the best description. Sanyo MGP59 Personal Stereo Radio Cassette SERVICED. AM/FM Radio Vintage Working. Here we have a super cool Sanyo MGR59 AM/FM Radio Cassette in excellent working condition, having just been serviced. It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch roller and pulleys have been cleaned. The switches have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished. The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. The headphone jack has been checked on the board and with headphones, and is solid - providing left & right channels reliably. The radio is clear and responsive, with both AM and FM working (subject to local coverage, of course). The FM Stereo light also works, showing that the FM separation circuitry is working properly. The battery terminals are shiny and bright, with no previous battery leakage. The belt clip is present, and the battery door locks in properly on this one - unlike most for sale. The overall condition is very nice, with only minor wear (please see photos) - it is a lovely example of this rare, overseas version. The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing, and a video taken for peace of mind. It can run off a 4.5 volt DC adaptor, or 3 ‘AA’ batteries (not supplied). The unit is in superb condition, with all original knobs, switches etc present and in working order. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro radio cassette for the home, studio, or on the move.
