Description
The B-2301L is an upgraded version of the B-2301 masterpiece. It offers a monsterous rated output power of 300W+300W (8 ohms), with total harmonic distortion (THD) of < 0.003% and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 120dB. Clocking in at 38.0 kg (84 lb), this thing is built like a tank, but to a high degree of precision. The amp circuitry is of the highest quality, and features an all-stage balanced configuration (also used in the 07 series). Everything about this amp spells quality, with its precise, thoughtful construction and beautiful, modern appearance. Don’t miss this highly sought-after vintage Japanese amp, in very good condition! A snippet from a review of the B-2301 (version prior to the B-2301L): If the sum of the parts are greater than the total, then the total is missing something. If the total is greater than the sum of the parts, then you have a Sansui. Huge 37kg X-Balanced powerhouse which didnt help Sansui stay afloat (but which sold very well nevertheless), the B-2301 shares the main circuit of the C-2301 preamplifier : the X-Balanced circuit where input, output, PS, NFB, current drives are all balanced. Also used is a Diamond Differential circuit for the power stage : two pairs of pnp and npn transistors in which the differential function of the npn pair is equal to that of the pnp pair, each working as current source for the other. The differtential function allows high current-drive capacity. Also used are floating power supply and cascode-connected p-p pre-driver stage (more about that later on). Componentry-wise... lavishness: 1,3kW toroidal power transformer with six separate windings / power-supplies, 60,000µF of pre-driver caps plus 60,000µF of low-impedance Pure Focus power output caps, eight pairs of 150W output transistors, OFC wiring and AC cord, precision resistors, pure copper chassis, pure-copper styrene caps, copper-clad transistors, 140µ epoxy boards, (really) balanced inputs and 3µ gold plating on the s-e RCA terminals. But these are the parts only. Great, wide, deep, moving music is the total - and it is greater than the sum of what makes it be. Note: if you want shipping to AK or HI, there will be a shipping surcharge.
