Sandul cassette deck in need of service ,a quick showed FF & RW work play does not and its a pretty common issue with cassette decks from this the drive or capstan belt has gone bad and all the other soft rubber in the transport such as idlers and pinch rollers. Parts are available on eBay and all across the net. the actual tech part of installing the belts varies in difficulty from machine to machine and you might even find some videos online on process. This is a doable machine as Im not a tech , I am familiar with cassette decks and transports, have belted many including this model last year and I only have one arm If you have never done one before and wanted to do the work yourself, I recommend finding a video of this model or similar and watching it to see if its something you wanted to do. It took me nearly 3 hours to complete the SC-5100 I did with one arm it should be closer to an hour if you have any transferable skills. This deck has some dings in it that I believe I captured the worst of but should benefit greatly with just basic cleaning of the inside and out
