As the younger child of the legendary Sansui AU-111, you can easily expect the best and only receive the best. During our ownership, we have had a tech fully inspect and test everything. It has been verified that this is a Sansui AU-70 that has been restored and is fully original (other than resistors and capacitors) and working as it should. In the pictures are the serial numbers shown. I acquired this from the original owner who is local to me (in New Zealand) who bought this brand new and kept it in his possession until he decided to reduce his collection, living in New Zealand. This is all in original condition. New valves, resistors, capacitors and any other replaceable part has been replaced for brand new. The previous owner did rewire the phono input as it doesnt have its original phono board (that can be reconnected internally), making it a line-in input so that he could use his own phono preamplifier, as the phono stages in these amplifiers are not known to be the best due to their age and early design. This repair does not affect the amplifiers performance and sound. The amplifier is multi-voltage selectable internally and can be used on 100v, 117v and 240v power.
