From an Estate Barn I cleaned out. Sansui 5000a Serial Number 220020167 When I brought it home the main fuse was blown.I replaced the main fuse and the right side channel on Speakers A , B, and C work GREAT ! This thing pumps out sound. Testing the left side alone I got nothing on speakers A or B so I switched the fuse to test C and the the fuse immediately blew,Plus some smoke came from the top of the receiver ( see photo). Afterwards, the RED Protector light came on.I powered it off, then back on and the protector light was off.I re-tested speakers A, B, and C on right side again and it works Great .No more testing on the left side was done. The muting button does not seem to work.The Loudness Button Works and all the Bass,Treble,Volume,Balance knobs function properly. The Tuning knob works ( see photo) It seems a bit off but maybe its just me. Pick up is Free of shipping costs and I have about a dozen more components we can check out. No Reserve Auction here.

NO RESERVE. This is a VINTAGE SILVER SANSUI STEREO TUNER AMPLIFIER. MODEL SOLID STATE 5000. IT HAS BEEN TESTED. ALL THE INPUTS WORK. THE POWER SECTION IS STRONG ON BOTH CHANNELS. THE ONLY THING I CANT GET TO WORK IS THE FM RADIO. NO RESERVE. It is being sold AS IS. It is heavy and I do not want it back. It also is over 40 years old and most likely not up to new standards. The pots and controls need cleaned. Some of the lights are out. You should plan on servicing if you intend to use as designed. As a general disclaimer...
