Sansui AU-D607F Extra:A superb Japanese high-fidelity amplifier!The Sansui AU-D607F Extra, released in Japan in 1981 during the “Golden Era” of high-fidelity Japanese audio equipment, is a gorgeous vintage integrated amplifier of exceptional quality. The AU-D607F Extra offers a rated output power of 80W + 80W At 8 ohms, with total harmonic distortion (THD) of <0.003%. The amp circuits is of the highest quality, with Sansuis proprietary Super FF and Twin Diamond amplification schema. The first stage incorporates a dual FET design with a differential circuit with a constant current, while the second stage features the dual differential diamond circuit for exceptional dynamics. The power stage is equipped with the Super FF. The MC / MM EQ circuit on the AU-D607F Extra is also well-regarded. The AU-D607F Extra features a dual FET design in the first stage, a push-pull drive stage,These fantastic vintage Sansui amps are rather rare, so dont miss this one in great condition! And a pure complementary SEPP output stage. Everything about this amp spells quality, with its precise, thoughtful construction and timeless appearance.This unit is in exceptional condition, with only some general aging, including an extremely faint scratch on the Faceplate (please see photos). This amplifier has been thoroughly tested by my technician, who has confirmed its integrity and working condition. DC Offset and Bias have been checked and adjusted accordingly. These “Golden Era” amps are known for their robust construction and use of the highest quality parts, so its likely this unit will see many more years of use, and as such, the decision was made not to refurbish the capacitors and/or resistors, preferring to maintain its originality. Additional Commentary: An improved integrated amplifier based on the AU-D607F.Super FF and diamond differential super FF and a diamond differential circuit. In addition, the AU-D607F Extra uses the same circuit as the AU-D707F Extra for one notch higher performance.The first stage is equipped with a constant-current differential circuit using a dual FET capable of conducting a large current with low noise. The second stage is equipped with a diamond differential circuit using a dual complimentary service with greatly improved dynamic characteristics. The power stage is equipped with a more complete Super FF. The output transistor is equipped with a high-speed NM-LAPT.The power supply consists of two independent power supply systems on the left and right sides. A large transformer with excellent regulation is used for the transformer, and a total of 32,800 ? F is used for the capacitor.The EQ amplifier uses a newly developed Hi PrecisionMC / MM compatible type EQ that achieves an RIAA deviation of 20 hz to 300 khz ± 0.2 db.A low-noise, high-gm dual FET is used for the first stage, and the push-pull drive is a pure complimentary service SEPP output with two stage differentials and current differentials with a current mirror, and all the signal capacitors from the input to the speaker out are eliminated.The power supply section for the equalizer is equipped with a linear servo regulator, which allows a constant bias current to flow in the circuit to cope with transient loads, enabling a clean and stable power supply at all times.The signal path is simplified and straightened by the adoption of heat pipes and three dimensional wiring.In addition, NM transistors and NM resistors are used to reduce magnetic distortion that pollutes sound.Relays are used for both A and B speaker terminals, and the influence of magnetic flux is reduced by adopting a remote control type that eliminates the routing of the output to the speaker selector switch.Equipped with two independent source recording selectors and a two circuit tape monitor / copy function.Equipped with a subsonic filter.It uses a detent type volume.Large speaker terminals are used.Equipped with audio muting function of -20dB.Uses a real wood side panel and top panel.
