Unveiling the Resurrected Beauty: Sansui AU-777A This Sansui AU-777A was rescued from an estate. It has been in a stereo cabinet for a few decades, unused. Upon inspection, there were a couple blown fuses, which would blow again when replaced. The amp was taken to an electronics technician who replaced one capacitor and three transistors. With those replaced, the amp came alive and is working order. Nothing else has been done to the amp. Though it is an excellent example of a surviving piece of audio history, a complete restoration would make this a stellar piece. Again, it is now in working order, it was tested using the Tuner and AUX inputs and all output speaker channels were tested. What makes this even more amazing is that it includes the original wiring diagram that is stored on a pouch on the bottom of the unit.
