Sansui ist es damals gelungen, das beengte Bandfach , welches auf gewöhnlichen Kassettendecks zu finden war,mit seinem Direct-O-Matic Format zu ersetzen .Dieses Direktmontagesystem, welches nicht nur die Handhabung und den Komfort der Kopfwartung erhöhte, sondern auch ein ausfallsicheres Transportsystem für einen konstanteren Band-zu-Kopf-Kontakt und eine beeindruckende Verbesserung und Verfeinerung der Hifi-Musikalität bietet, mit einer streng und sauberen Elektonik, die für den guten Sound beiträgt, den man von Sansui erwartet.Das die Bänder vollständig sichtbar sind und auch die beiden beleuchteten Vu-Meter sind ein sehr schönes äußerliches Merkmal.
