THE TUNER SECTION: The major feature of the FM tuner section of the YAMAHA RX-496 is the system which detects ant difference in frequency between IF signal and the reference signal generated by the crystal oscillator. Any phase dislocation that might occur is automatically detected and compensated by a loop circuit.
