Artison has been regarded as the premium add on speakers for your HD TV. The Portrait you see is essentially a pair of speakers providing duties of a three front speaker setup. Within each speaker are five drivers - two 4.5 kevlar midrange driver and two 1 Vifa DX dome tweeter mounted on the front baffle and one side firing tweeter. The four drivers on the front baffle are split into two speakers. The top half of one tweeter and one midrange of each speaker is the mono center. The bottom half pair are the Left and Right channel of each respective speaker. The side firing tweeter enlarges the soundstage by sending the HF sideways which broaden the horizontal imaging. Frequency response is 80 Hz to 50 KHz with a nominal impedance of 6 ohm and a sensitivity of 89 dB. Each speaker is about 23.5 tall, 6.25 wide and 4.5 deep. They are designed to be fitted on the sides of 40 or bigger TVs. We dont have the mounting brackets (you can easily make them with materials from Home Depot) but place them on one of our makeshift stands next to our TV and the audio portion was a big improvement in terms of listening pleasure. The dynamism of voices and soundtracks when watching movie or even just a plain old news channel was clearly evident through the Artison speakers. If you have a HD TV but use the in-built speakers inside the TV for its sound projection, you are short changing yourself from a much improved performance with the Artison speakers. Speakers look good overall. It does have some scuff marks and minor stain spots/snags on the grille cover from use and from being dismantled down from a high end HT setup but nothing major. So if you dont mind a bit of scuff marks here and there, this is a great bargain if you want to add some dynamic realism over your TV speakers. Speakers will be securely packed for safe shipping.

For a person who wants to DIY their own system or just have something affordable but good quality to experiment with. Or maybe rebuild your old RTR set Complete set of components for RTR G-200 removed from cabinet include 2x crossovers 2x tweeters 2x 10 midranges 2x 12 diaphrams (for bass boost) The midrange each weighs about 5lb, the tweeters each are a bit over 1lb. The diaphrams are pretty light. The crossovers look good, no burns or frying. I did not test the caps. The mid and diaphrams need to be refoamed. But this is a pretty easy task and any good generic foam will do the job. Watch a YouTube video. I have Frankensteined a few speaker sets for use in garage or other setups and built my own box or used salvage. Its kinda fun and a good experiment with acoustics. The RTRs were very good speakers for their time and these should make some nice sound. Buy as you see them. I will not assure these work as I do not recall how they tested. They have been in my To-Do pile for a while and its time to move them on. Used Artison Portrait Mk 2 speakers with wall and TV bracket. The pair of speakers are a complete 3.0 system with the left and right speakers each including a center channel speaker. This eliminates the need for a separate center speaker which can be hard to place if the TV is wall mounted or even if the TV is placed on a cabinet. The Portrait Mk 2 in Artisons current Portrait model with a very slim 2.8 inch depth. This is about 1/2 the depth of the Mk 1 so that it matches the very slim depth of the latest flat panel TVs. The speakers can be wall mounted with the included brackets or mounted to the rear of the TVs VESA sockets with the included TV bracket. This gives a very clean cosmetic appearance as if the speakers were part of the TV. The speakers are 25.3 inches tall so the should be matched with a 55 inch or larger TV. The included black grills are 32.5 inches tall which match many 65 inch TVs.
