No significant scuffs or dents, just a few small scratches on top edge of front panel. I specialize in vintage audio restorations and have sold dozens of units, plentiful references available. What youre viewing today is a vintage Rotel RX-2000 stereo receiver. It is being sold as is for parts or repair because most of the knobs and switches have a fuzz when adjusted, and the loudness switch for sure has a short in it and requires a bit of a wiggle. On both A and B speakers the left channel has no sound output. You get the fuzz when the knobs are adjusted but no actual sound comes out. Ive wiggled and jiggled the balance knob but no sound happens. I do not have the equipment on hand to test the tape functions. Please see pictures. Up for sale is a Rotel RT-02 AM FM Stereo tuner (Silver) w/ Remote, looking to downsize from several tuners. This is a high end remote-controlled tuner that performs well, in a rare silver finish for those of you with classic or new silver components. If you have a stack of vintage or silver audio components and are looking for a silver tuner with remote, this is one of like 3 options that exist for a reasonable price. Dont want to have a black tuner in your stack? Dont want to move to change stations? This is for you. Tuner is working perfectly to bring in stations and output quality audio. Sound is precise and tuning is amazing to bring in distant stations. Its not all in the finish or color of the faceplate. From ign.com announcement that you can find online- Rotel designed the RT-02 AM/FM tuner, like all its products, according to the companys Balanced Design concept. In the case of the RT-02 this led to a carefully considered balance of tuning sensitivity and selectivity, so that the tuner performs exceptionally well in urban and suburban areas while retaining outstanding weak-signal pulling ability as well. The RT-02 offers 30 preset station memories as well as manual, auto-search, and numerical direct-frequency tuning. The Euro Series tuner also incorporates RBDS (Radio Broadcast Data System) capabilities that enable several powerful features when tuned to compatible stations. These including frequency and station-name displays, radio-text readout, and auto-searching stations by program type among several others. A dedicated, full-function remote control is supplied with the Euro Series RT-02; the tuner also responds to primary commands from the RA-02 amplifiers system remote. The only issue with this tuner is that the display pixels are not uniform in brightness which you can see from the pics if you look very very closely with a keen eye. I am not sure if this is a defect or how it originally shipped as most of the pics I can find online have similar display issues. I have had this for 5 years and the display has been consistent, it has not dimmed or changed so I think it will be fine for the future. All other aspects working great.
