I used it with just two speakers but it is ready for your surround system as well. The supplied remote does volume and mute. It may do other things but that is what we programmed. The RMB-1066 multi-channel power amplifier is an enormously flexible unit intended primarily for use in surround systems and delivers high power in a variety of configurations.
