These items have been in my mancave for a number of years unused. The last time I used the Rotel amp it dropped a channel so only faint audio could be heard through one of the speakers. The other channel worked fine. The Cambridge Audio DAB Radio was working the last time I used it (many years ago). I hardly used it so I am including this as not working like the amp. The Projector worked fine the last time I used it, but now when turned on the heat lamp illuminates and no projection is made. I was going to take a picture of the lamp hours but cant. This came from a university refurb through work (they were going to skip it!). I cant remember how many hours the lamp showed, it was a small number of hours (perhaps a few hundred) but I cant remember exactly. All items are sold together as a single lot as not working or for parts. Collection only from HU6 by Thursday 7th September please.

I wanted to give it a good workout before reporting back to you.I knew from what you have said and the talk in the forums that I could expect better bass and more power, but that description only scratches the surface. The amp has phenomenal grip - it doesn’t let go of any of the threads of the music no matter how complex, or loud, or quiet it becomes. There is a sense of scale and of power in reserve. Subtle details that I was previously unaware of or couldn’t hear properly are easily discernible and there is air and depth around the instruments, not all squashed in a line, shoulder to shoulder. There is shape to the sound. I swapped out my Heed Elixir, which I’m very fond of, from another system and replaced it with the RA-810A. There really isn’t much to choose between them, bearing in mind that the other components and the room itself play a significant part in the performance. Description (manufacturers blurb) The Rotel RA-931 is a stereo integrated amplifier which has been designed for high performance. It has Symmetrical Circuit Paths. These are utilized to ensure absolutely identical timing integrity between the two channels of the amplifier. The power supply derives from a ROTEL designed and manufactured toroidal power transformer. We also utilize ROTEL custom designed capacitors to improve the speed and damping factor of the amplifier. We believe in highly regulated power supplies and build these into all of our products. We feel the extra expense of building in an excellent power supply is worthwhile because it is good for the music. The Bass and Treble tone controls adjust the low bass or the high treble range of the music. We do not allow them to alter the all important middle ranges (vocal range) of the music.
