I am the second owner, but the first owner did not have it for long until he upgraded to the higher end RELs. The cables were new. I did not remove the coating as suggested by REL I wrapped them around the post. (Please see the pics). Shortly after purchase, I got a great deal on mono amps and new speakers. Since you can not hook one of these up to mono amps they sat unused for several months as I considered getting a second one. In fact, I do not need it with my new speakers and would have to rearrange my entire room for a second sub I do not need, so I decided to sell it. It is a great sounding sub if you need that lower register notes for a high fidelity system. If you listen to Jazz you can hear the bass. There are also others online for sale in somewhat dubious condition. Be aware of who you are actually buying the subwoofer from as some people abuse subwoofers. This sub was owned by audiophiles and well cared for and respected. It is priced fairly and competitively.
