Up for auction is a vintage Rek O Kut stereo headshell in very nice condition unlike commonly seen surface oxidation with this item. All four shell lead wire are intact and have good continuity. It comes with cartridge mounting screws and spacers for the cartridge height adjustment. Very hard to find the Rek O Kut headshell in this condition.

Here is a rarely seen vintage Rek-O-Kut turntable, but it does need some attention. It does run (turns) and the motor itself is very quiet. When turning the platter, there is a little bit of noise (I dont know how much would be normal). The biggest issue appears to be the crude way the tone arm was wired to the audio cable (this cant be normal). Looks fairly good, but not perfect, and could use some cleaning. There are a few small flaws, including a few surface marks behind tone arm. The platter surface is a little rough. No record mat. There is a small area of veneer lift on the right side upper edge. The table just sits on top of the base (not screwed together - that looks normal). Has a Shure M55E with stylus. The stylus looks OK to me visually, but I cant see well enough to really evaluate its condition. 14 1/2 deep by 15 wide. Shipping will be via USPS. No international sales or shipping on this listing. Vintage REK-O-KUT -120 Tonearm For Parts Only I don’t know anything about this brand. This was my great uncle and was in this box when I received it. I am selling it with everything that was in the box because I don’t know if all of it goes with it or doesn’t go with it. From doing a little research I do know the tonearm is missing some parts where the needle goes along with missing the needle. I do not know if it works that why I put it under for parts only. It might work it might not. It’s just been sitting in a box for years as far as I know. It looks to be in good condition. See pictures for details. Sold as is no returns.

This rare and original RED slip mat is a must-have for any Rek-O-Kut Rondine Deluxe turntable is in decent shape there’s some scuffs in the bottom one spot on the grooves where’s there’s some minor issues you can see it one of the pics the flexibility is great it’s not stiff or cracking it came off a Rodine Jr L-37 which in selling for parts of your interested. REK-O-KUT S-160 - 16 ZOLL STUDIO-TONARM MIT AURIOL PICKUP CONTROLAUF THORENS-BRETT - SPIELFERTIG MIT TONABNEHMER SHURE M 77 Der lange amerikanische Tonarm wurde fachgerecht durch Peter Feldmann montiert und mit Abschirmhülse sowie neuem Phonokabel versehen. Die Armkombination eignet sich auch zur Wiedergabe von 16 Zoll Transkriptionsschallplatten im Rundfunk - siehe viertes Foto. Das massive Brett ist eine überbreite Spezialausführung, die Jürg Schopper nur in kleiner Stückzahl für den japanischen Markt anfertigen ließ (CHF 290.-). Diese Brett umschließt auf der Unterseite den Brettträger eines TD 124 vollumfänglich und koppelt das Brett stärker an das Laufwerk an. Der seltene Auriol Pickup Control ist eine Kombination von Armlift und Rillenfinder: Das Profi-Gerät hat eine mit 3 Reitern und 20 Buchstaben genau unterteilte Winkelskala auf der weit geschwungenen Tonarmbank. Die Reiter lassen sich als Tonarmanschlag für die gebräuchlichen Plattengrößen 17, 25 und 30 Zentimeter auf der Bank positionieren. Der Platz zwischen den Buchstaben von A bis T wird durch jeweils zehn kleine, gelb markierte Kerben unterteilt, wobei die fünfte Kerbe zur besseren Ablesbarkeit hervorgehoben ist. Insgesamt hat die kalibrierte, geschwungene Bank 200 Kerben. Zum Lieferumfang zählt ein Clip, der am Tonarmrohr befestigt wird und dessen Nase entweder nach unten oder nach oben zeigt. Im ersteren Fall (siehe Anzeige mit Garrard-Anwendung) liegt der Arm mit der nach unten zeigenden Nase in eine der 200 Kerben der Liftbank. Bei der eher gebräuchlichen Anwendung (siehe Thorens-Brett) ruht der Tonarm nicht wie bei einem konventionellen Lift auf der Bank, sondern er hängt darunter. Die scharfkantige, abgewinkelte Nase des Clips reicht von unten über die Liftbank hinweg und findet in der gewünschten Kerbe Halt. Zum pneumatischen Absenken dient ein kleines schwarzes Handrad. Nach etwa einer Viertelumdrehung entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn lässt man das Rad los. Der Tonarm beginnt nun, auf einem Luftpolster sanft auf die Schallplatte zu gleiten, wobei die Absenkgeschwindigkeit zunimmt, wenn man das Handrad weiter aufdreht. Zum Abheben des Arms zieht man den Lift an dem Handrad hoch und arretiert ihn in dieser Position durch eine Viertelumdrehung in der Gegenrichtung Ideal ist der Rillenfinder von Auriol für den Liebhaber klassischer Musik. Bestimmte Positionen auf einer Langspielplatte, etwa die Anfänge von Sinfoniesätzen, kann er dadurch mit Zahl und Buchstaben in seiner „Hansen“ Schallplatten-Kartei notieren, die damals in Deutschland über die Zeitschrift fono forum erhältlich ist. Im Tonarm-Schwenkbereich über der Spielfläche einer LP stehen auf der Bank dafür etwa 170 Einteilungen zur Verfügung. Die Fehlertoleranz beim Auffinden einer bestimmten Stelle der Schallplatte soll maximal zwei Rillen betragen „Das Gerät ist eine jener einfachen und nützlichen Ideen, bei denen man sich fragt, warum niemand früher darauf gekommen ist“, schreibt Percy Wilson im Dezember 1956 in der Gramophone. „Es ist stabil gebaut, lässt sich leicht bedienen und erfüllt seine Aufgabe perfekt. Ob sein Preis von drei Guineas gerechtfertigt ist, muss jeder Musikfreund selbst wissen – und dabei bedenken, dass schon ein einmal per Hand unvorsichtig auf die Schallplatte gesetzter Tonarm ein wertvolles Exemplar ruinieren kann. In der Hi-Fi News (Heft 5/1957) bescheinigt Ralph West dem Auriol Pickup Control hohe Fertigungsqualität.„Ein Test am Laufwerk Connoisseur 3-speed verlief positiv. Der Tonarm des gleichen Herstellers, ohnehin leicht zu handhaben, ließ sich damit noch sicherer bedienen. Viele Schallplatten-Liebhaber werden sich diesen attraktiven Lift zulegen – ob sie dessen Rillen-Suchfunktion nun benötigen oder auch nicht.“ Ähnlich positiv urteilt im März 1962 die britische Audio & Record Review. Den Auriol bezeichnet sie als „Rolls Royce unter den Aufsetzhilfen“. Bemerkenswert ist der außergewöhnlich gute Zustand dieses Studio-Tonarms, siehe Fotos. Fast alle alten Arme von Rek-O-Kut leiden unter Oxidation und Abblättern der Oberflächen. Viele Exemplare sind durch Obstmesserreparaturen amerikanischer Vorbesitzer verbastelt und/oder haben beschädigte Lager - nicht so der angebotene S-160. Im Tonkopf befindet sich ein Shure-Tonabnehmer M 77 mit neuer Nachbaunadel, der mit dem schweren Rek-O-Kut bestens harmoniert. Zum Lieferumfang gehört einer meiner maßgefertigten Spezialkartons mit passgenauer Schaumstoffeinlage (Foto). In diesem Behältnis ruht der Arm bei Nichtgebrauch wie in Abrahams Schoß. Der abgebildete TD 121 zählt nicht zum Angebot. Gern können Sie den Tonarm im Spezialkarton bei mir abholen - und erhalten von mir eine 16 Zoll-Transkriptionsschallplatte des AFN als Beigabe zum Ausprobieren.
