If you’re interested in this amp I highly suggest you google “rega brio hum” as this amp is notorious for this problem, and even with everything optimized there is a noise to be heard if you are close to the speaker - Rega knows this, but as they are notorious for following their ears, their explanation is that the amp just sounds better in a smaller chassis than a larger one, noise be damned! I have sent this amp back to Focal, who does all of Regas servicing in Canada, and made sure that everything is properly configured so you should receive the best representation of this amplifier. Amazing pair of Rega RS1 speakers, with black piano finish. Two way speakers with crystal clear midrange, open airy highs. Low frequencies are clean and tight with no artificial bloat. The review hype is real. These speakers present a wide, spacious soundstage, and a sense of immediacy to the music, primarily due to very fast transient attack, these are quick speakers.
