This is wonderful audiophile turntable manufactured to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Regas analogue achievements and received outstanding reviews in publications such as What HiFi and Stereophile magazine. Rosewood base surround with black plinth Includes dust lid, RB600 tonearm, Dynavector cartridge, UK 24v mains adapter, instruction booklet, BNC/phono converter, original subplatter, original box & most of the inner packing. This one owner turntable is in perfect working order and excellent cosmetic condition. There is a slight mark at the rear of the plinth (see photo). The dust lid may have some light surface scratches with close inspection but I could not see anything significant. Purchased from a long standing local audio specialist and used in a smoke and pet free environment, this wonderful example of the P25 also has a host of upgrades professionally installed. The turntable has the phono plugs professionally changed to the NAIM ready BNC type (see pictures) but is supplied with gold plated BNC/Phono converters. It also incorporates a sapphire thrust plate (integral with the bearing shaft) that rotates on a zirconia (ZrO2) ball. Audiophile Rega Planar 1 Turntable Record Player - RB110 Arm And AT95E cartridge Turntable recently serviced and in great condition - Rega RB 110 arm included - Audio technica AT95E cartridge The Planar 1 is equipped with Rega’s RB110 tonearm, which contains house-designed, patent-pending ultra-low friction bearings. The geometry of the tonearm, its position relative to the spinning plastic, and how it tracks along that plastic are all keystones in the performance of a turntable. A 24 Volt, synchronous AC motor with a lightweight aluminum pully spins the high mass phenolic (highly stable, dense epoxy) platter. Synchronous motors are nerdy-cool in many ways. They are more efficient than a traditional induction motor. This means less power to make the same pound-for-pound force. Less power means less heat and noise, things you don’t want in a phono setup. The speed is easier to control/regulate in a synchronous motor, which translates to less variation, known as wow and flutter, in the presentation of the music.

REGA PLANAR 3 turntable. Black. With Ortofon Super OM10 MM Cartridge. In good used condition and full working order, with no obvious marks or scratches to the deck or arm. The top cover, as can be seen in the photos, was replaced a while ago with an identical one, albeit that it is branded NAD. Obviously this is purely cosmetic and does not detract from the sound produced by the deck! The Ortofon Super OM10 cartridge, which I upgraded from the one the deck came with, has had fairly light use. Full details below.
