Description The Quad 34 provides the serious music listener with everything necessary for the full enjoyment of music from radio, disc, tape and compact disc and continues a process of evolution which began more than thirty years ago with the original Quad control unit. Inputs are selected by pushbutton controlled solid state switches and all inputs are fully isolated so that one can switch from one to the other without turning down the volume control or switching off unwanted sources. Filters, selected by pushbutton, provide optimum characteristics to remove distortions inherent in the record playing system and leave more of the music. The Tilt control changes the programme balance to compensate for the difference between the reverberation of the actual listening room and the recording engineers concepts. Quad 34 HiFi Separate 4-Input Pre Amplifier Control Unit Grey Spares or Repairs. In the outside condition, it looks really good. When I connected the unit to play it and checked everything. after a few minutes, it started to smell from inside. After a quick open, I found this is coming from a power transformer. There is no issue with controlling. All fobs are working and give good sound correction . Anyway, it is too far for me to fix it and find what is cause that issue. That is why I am selling it for parts for someone who will know how to deal with problem this unit will give really good sound control . Please check photos No return on this item . QUAD control unit model 34, serial number 011865,manufactured 1985, according to customer services at Quad. Selling with Poweramp model 303, s/no 19498, manufactured 1972. With mains cables including link between units. Some slight marks and scuffs commensurate with age and use.Selling on behalf of a deceased estate, but I have seen it working OK in the past 2 months. Quad 34 control unit / preamplifier. Cosmetic super nice condition but technically defect.Unit powers up, buttons are working but there is no sound coming from the output. For parts or repair.Operating voltage: 220 - 240 volt.

Quad 34 Control Pre-Amplifier Unit - Clean, Powers on All Lights Work - Untested Unfortunately I am not able to fully test this nice little device. I would like to, but I am missing the 4 pin din output connector. I have the 2 other 5 pin connectors, pictured, but those are for input. I tried looking for one but was unable to find it. I think you may just need to make your own. I was able to power on the unit and play with the different buttons. Lights work and it appears to be working. NO reason to believe this will not work as designed. But due to I am unable to test it fully, this is being sold in AS-IS condition.
