It comes pre-installed with SUNLIGHT, the DirectStream DAC MK1s latest and greatest FPGA Firmware.This unit is a winner! 8/10 condition, you will see that the top panel has some imperfections (minor smudges & minor scratches) but is still quite nice. Of course this will not affect sound quality, performance or functionality. It also has some faded silkscreen on the back panel.The graphics on the screen, the DirectStream dome label, and the successful installation of SUNLIGHT firmware all prove that this is a fully-functioning DirectStream DAC with Bridge I, whose original retail price was $6,898! There is NO BETTER SOUND QUALITY for a DAC at this price. This is one of the best DS DACs 8/10 that out there. I got this unit in trade and am putting up for action to find a good home.This unit is a real gem!

I bought this PS Audio PerfectWave DirectStream DAC with Bridge II (for streaming/Ethernet) used a couple years ago and have enjoyed it greatly while using Roon to stream here at the house.See photos which are part of my description. This black unit came to me with the latest (and I believe, the last) firmware update that PS Audio did for these - Sunlight. The sound of these is amazing! I used the I2S jack (takes your HDMI cable) to feed the signal from their newest SACD player (since been sold, sorry) and my CD collection never sounded so good. I streamed using Roon through the Bridge II and those results were also amazing. Honestly I cannot imagine how they will improve on this with their new Mk II of this product. Comes packed into its original carton with power cord and remote. No printed manual but you can download those from PS Audio. I’m sure their warranty is long out of date on this one by now in case that factors into your purchase decision. Last photo shows this unit powered on and stacked on a PW SACD player as PS Audio suggests.See a separate listing for my Audio Research VT-80 (now upgraded to SE spec w tube swap to KT150) auto-bias tube amp (also in black) with the optional tube cage. This is a Network Bridge II card for a PS AUDIO PERFECT WAVE DIRECT STREAM DAC Mk1. If you have this DAC, this card gets you network access to streaming services, I used it for Tidal and it worked great. I am including an old style WD My Net AC WiFI Bridge device as well. This enables you to connect to your network via WiFi, so you do not need to plug into a network cable. Very easy to set up. Works flawlessly. This is a very good deal for this card, it is much more expensive when new.
