Heres a nice pair of vintage tube preamps! A pair of AKAI M7 preamps from the early 1960s.These were removed from a Reel to Reel recorder. Each unit has the original wiring harnesses intact. There are a couple of cables to hook the 2 units together. One is to supply power to the other but please note that the cable is cracked in numerous places and must be replaced. Each unit has its own transformer and power supply...a very nice feature! Heavy duty design and construction with a high quality build. These are being sold for parts or for a restoration project. Weighing in at 6.45kg, this is a nice circa 1970s kit made ? Quad (not made by them) clone / inspired ? power amplifier.Bought years ago as supposedly working, but realised upon opening up to check inside before powering on, that one small capacitor had leaked, the two smaller blue cans look to be browned and appear to have the start of leaking, and added to the fact this power amp appears to take 3 pin din plugs ? I ended up never powering it up as aside from my initial inspection concerns, i also suspected the power amp had in fact most likely not been used in in decades.Hopefully someone with knowledge of electronics will be able to fix this up or use as a basis for a project.The rear panel looks to be dented slightly, and after removal of the power amp top can be a bit tricky to realign the front and rear panels back with the holes.Comes with a bulgin plug lead (genuinely untested).Condition as per the photos, some grubbiness to the front panel. Offered as not working and needing the attention of someone with electronics know how / knowledge. Thanks For Looking!

The tubes the amplifier needs: (1) 7247 , (1) EF86, (2) 12AU7, (2) 7591, (3) 7199 and (4) 6BQ5.
