Here we have an early model Quad 33 Control unit pre-amplifier in good condition, and full working order. The unit was serviced by IAG (Quad) in February 2021, but has just been fully checked over by me (qualified electronic engineer). IAG replaced the suppressor, all electrolytic capacitors, and provided two brand new amplifier boards. I have checked everything, and cleaned the switches and potentiometers which were crackly (not anymore). Unfortunately there are some minor scratches on the case and underneath someone has tried to remove a label by lightly sanding!.Please see the photographs as they form part of the description. Bear in mind that the photos enhance some of the scratches which will normally be invisible to the naked eye.s/n 10144 (1970). Comes complete with a mains cable fused at 3 amps and earthed. Acoustical Manufacturing Ltd Quad 33 Pre-AmplifierIn very good condition, has been serviced with a Dada Electronics upgrade kit. Quad 33 Upgrade / Revision manual V2.7The serial number is 5684 which makes it a late 1969 issue.Bought from the family of the original owner. Really performs well and sounds gorgeous.

Quad 33 Control Unit pre-amplifier pre amp for 303. I have recently removed this Quad 33 from it’s teak sleeve. As such it is in exceptional condition. Please see pictures for condition. I’d be keeping this unit if I hadn’t recently purchased an Amplabs serviced 33 and 303! I have tested the unit with a Google Chromecast into the Radio Two input, it works fine. I have not tested all functions or inputs. I would budget for a service or once over yourself if you are electronically minded as it looks to have been untouched since production and as such will not be functioning to it’s best. I will include a modern 3 pin 240V to Bulgin power cable and contemporary cabling to the 303. Please use the contemporary cabling under advisement only if you know what you are doing with Quad equipment. Posted Royal Mail or pick up from near Shepton Mallet.
