Polk Audio RM705 Complete 5.1 Surround Speaker Home Theater System The RM705 system is a 6-piece, 5.1 channel home theater speaker system with 4 matched, a center speaker (RM7C) and a powered subwoofer in one carton. The satellite enclosures of the RM705 system are low-resonance injection molded mineral-filled polypropylene and finished in beautiful high gloss black. The triangular shape of the satellites contributes to the superior imaging and midrange performance of the product while allowing the RM7s to swivel up to 180 degrees in the horizontal plane when used with the supplied wall-mount bracket. The center channel speaker comes with a shelf cradle and a wall mount bracket–both of which permit up-down aiming. The satellites and center channel components of the RM705 system are available separately for the convenience of owners who wish to upgrade to 6.1 or 7.1-channel systems. The L&R satellites (called RM7 when packaged alone) are available in gloss White as well as gloss Black while the RM7C center is available only in gloss Black. This Polk Audio tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. The radiating surface is flawless with no dings or dimples. Plus, the plastic frame is in great shape with no cracks, chips, or scratches and the rubber flange gasket is included. And, the +/- terminals are color-keyed for polarity (red is positive) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Polk tweeter looks practically new! Most importantly, the tweeter has been fully tested and sounds terrific—strong, detailed output and it extends well into the ‘sparkle’ zone with its 24kHz-rated upper limit. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 3.3? consistent with a 4 ohm nominal driver rating. Also, the frame measures 1¼” diameter and it stands 7/16” tall. The Subwoofer is in great shape and would be good for any 5.1, 6.1 7.1 audio system. But there are a Two cosmetic thing with the subwoofer. The front speaker screen has some small imperfection and there is a scuff running down the lower left side of the subwoofer. Other than those two things the Subwoofer is in working order.
