Polk Audio Monitor Series 4 - Serial Numbers 14751 and 14752 These were made between 1982-1985. These speakers work perfect and sound great. I have had these for 15-20 years now.Here comes the but...I got them with water damage. Does not affect the performance at all butcosmetically, they look distressed in places. That is why I am asking half of what they would be worth otherwise.Besides that, these speakers are super solid and heavy, very well made. Looks like inside of the grill was initialed by A.W.,quality control sign off?If anyone interested would like more pictures, I will be glad to post them. I dont want anyone to think I am trying to hide the cabinet issues. I will say this...the pictures make it look worse! Bad for me, I guess. I WILL TAKE OFFERS!!!

Up for auction is a pair of Polk Audio Monitor 40 bookshelf speakers. They are used but in excellent condition, and their sound quality belies their age! I can’t begin to tell you how many times I thought someone was at my door when watching a movie, due to their outstanding performance while using these as surrounds! The sole Problem for me was that my apartment isn’t designed in a way I can use these as surrounds in a balanced manner. So I went to an in-walk approach instead. And I did not want to let these go, but they’ve been just collecting dust and someone else should enjoy them. From the photos you can see that there’s only Nick at the top of a single box, and the grill covers that up. Also if you took a sharpie to it you’d never know it’d been there. You can also see the two screws on the back of one where I’d mounted a wall bracket to hold it up, but that didn’t work as my ceiling isn’t high enough to keep it above my head! They measure as follows: Depth: 12 inches Height: 16 inches Width: 7 inches I’ll be listing mounts separately should you be interested. The grills win great shape, all posts are accounted for. But You may notice a small “wet” looking spot on one grill, the picture makes it seem far more visible, when I honestly didn’t even notice it until I was taking the photos. I’m not sure what it is, so I can’t say for sure what can be done about it. These things are heavy, 33lbs for the pair, so I do apologize about shipping costs. However if you’re in my area you can absolutely pick them up. I do not accept returns on these, as I just recently took them from my own system, and I know they work perfectly as they should. Offered for your consideration is a pair of Polk Audio two-way crossover networks that were original equipment in my Monitor 4A speakers, USA-manufactured in 1985. The Polk Monitor 4’s used these crossovers to divide MW-6502 6½” woofers from 1” dome tweeters at 4.5kHz.So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if these quality Polk crossovers are correct for your needs. These Polk crossovers are in clean, excellent condition. There are no cosmetic or functional issues. They feature sizeable capacitors, heavily wound copper inductors, and the spring-loaded terminals hold speaker cable tight. Plus, the sturdy plastic mounting plates measure 2? in diameter, go about 3½” deep into the cabs, and the mounting hole distances are 1¾” adjacent / 2½” diagonal apart, c-t-c. Lastly, I’ve neatly bound the woofer and tweeter wires for the new owner’s convenience. These are a nice find for someone with early Monitor 4’s that have a broken input terminal(s), damaged component, etc. And, as I alluded to earlier, they’re ready for action in your next speaker building project!As pictured and described, this capable pair of Polk Audio Monitor 4A crossover networks is offered at a competitive price.
