Offered for your consideration is a Polk Audio two-way crossover network removed from my CS175i center channel speaker, manufactured in 2000. This crossover divided an MW5531 5¼” mid/woofer from a Dynamic Balance 19mm tweeter at 2.5kHz.So, please take a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this capable Polk center channel crossover should be yours. This Polk crossover is in clean, excellent condition. There are no cracks or scratches on the plastic faceplate. It features a capacitor, resistor, and heavily wound copper inductor on the circuit board. Plus, the sturdy binding post +/- input terminals work perfectly and are conveniently angled for fiddle-free connections. And, I’ve neatly divided the woofer and tweeter wires with ties. Overall, this crossover is in great shape. This is a nice find if the crossover on your CS175i, or other suitable Polk center channel speaker, is not working properly or has a broken input terminal, etc. And, it’s ready for action in a center channel speaker-building project with the drivers of your choice. This Polk Audio woofer is in clean, excellent condition. The cone and center cap look perfect. Plus, the suspension is permanent rubber instead of the decay-prone foam still found on other brands at the time it was made. Lastly, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Polk driver is remarkably well-preserved. Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds great—fast, detailed midrange and strong bass for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 2.3 consistent with two woofers being series-wired for a net nominal 4 ohms in the CS10.
