Das System beinhaltet den Light & Sound Synergizer (ein klassicher AudioStrobe-Dekoder mit zugehöriger Lichtbrille) .Der der AudioStrobe Light & Sound Synergizer kann einerseits wie eine herkömmliche Mindmachine verwendet werden, oder aber auch zur visuellen Umsetzung der speziell kodierten AudioStrobe-Alben oder NeuroBeats genutzt werden Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Mindmachines sind die Programme nicht fest im Gerät installiert, sondern sie werden über ein externes Audio-Abspielgerät wie einen mp3- oder CD-Player in den Dekoder eingespielt. Die Funktionsweise ist denkbar einfach: Der Synergizer AudioStrobe-Dekoder wird an einen beliebigen mp3- oder CD-Player angeschlossen. In den speziell kodierten Audio-Kompositionen (mitgelieferte AudioStrobe-CDs, AudioStrobe-Alben, NeuroBeats, ect ...) sind neben den auditiven Inhalten (z. B. Impulsfrequenzen, Musik, themenbezogene Anwendungen, ...) auch AudioStrobe-Steuersignale für die visuelle Stimulation enthalten, welche vom Dekoder entschlüsselt und über die Stimulationsbrille sichtbar gemacht werden. Das Ergebnis ist eine audiovisuelle Stimulation wie bei einer herkömmlichen Mindmachine, jedoch mit dem Unterschied, dass die Programmausstattung durch neue AudioStrobe-Programme oder auch mittels der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen MindExplorer-Software beliebig erweitert werden können.
