Marantz PM7000 is a classic Marantz Integrated Amplifier with a full function remote control, phono input, source direct button and two sets of switchable speaker outputs. It has a warm sound to it that Marantz is known for. Its rated at 95 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 150 watts per channel into 4 ohms. I believe these were built in years 2000 and 2001. It was voted as the European Amplifier of the Year 2000-2001 and has remained a popular classic Marantz Integrated Amp through the years. Its larger and taller than some of the Marantz Integrated amps that followed, like the PM7001. Its around 28 pounds and has a full metal front faceplate. Ive had a few more Marantz Integrated amps since this one, with the circular display ones and the ones with curved front fascia. They were all fine, but Ive kept this one and the PM7001 because I think they sound better. And I think they look better. It has the source direct button which I believe defeats all preamp functions other than volume control. It sounds perhaps more clear, but I didnt use that function and preferred to use the Marantz preamp section which sounds fuller and warmer. One note about the binding posts in the back - they dont accept banana plugs. So having flex pin banana plugs make it easier to connect speaker wires. It will be shipped in its original box with the remote control which I see is going for $80 - $100 on its own on ebay.

I purchased this from a yard sale and the precious owner explained it worked fine but hadn’t been plugged in in years. I brought it home plugged it in and it powered on and responded to every button I pushed. I did not fully test this item nor do I know how to or have the equipment to do so. Please only purchase this item if you know how to make small repairs if needed. I’m assuming everything is fine but not 100.
